In 5th grade, Kalijah joined Instruments of Change at Clair Mel Elementary, excelling in band through high school. He later attended Blake High School, known for its rigorous band auditions. After earning a trumpet through Instruments of Chage, Kalijah was accepted into Florida State University’s music program.
