The Vertex Industries brand was founded in 1986 in Farmingville, New York. In 2021, our company relocated to St. Augustine, Florida. The founder, Edward Downey, had a strong military upbringing. This played a role in the naming of his products. His mother, Anne Timko, along with her seven brothers served in the U.S. military during World War II.
