Cattery and Cat Breeder – Sunny Shores Cattery
Sunny Shores Cattery is a home-based breeding operation in Daytona Beach, Florida, operated by Rachel Zimmer, a veterinary technician since 1996. The breeding operation is housed in a 1,300 square foot cat area with windows, cat trees, towers, scratching posts, and toys. Kittens are raised alongside littermates, older kittens, and adult cats, as well as household dogs, with socialization that includes veterinary clinic visits starting at seven weeks of age. This setup is central to how the cattery prepares its kittens for new homes in the Daytona Beach area and beyond.
Each kitten is sold with an extensive package. It includes age-appropriate vaccines, a birth certificate, pedigree, spaying or neutering, a Florida Health Certificate with negative feline leukemia and AIDS testing, negative fecal tests, deworming, a five-year genetic and health guarantee, thirty days of Trupanion pet insurance, TICA and or CFA registration, HomeAgain microchipping, Revolution Plus treatment, a baby blanket, toys, and lifetime breeder support.
Rachel Zimmer serves as Southeast Regional Director for the Ragdoll Fancier’s Club International and maintains listings with The International Cat Association and the International Toybob Cat Club. She holds membership in TICA and CFA. Genetic testing is performed through Optimal Selection and Neogen CatScan, covering HCM and PKD mutations along with more than fifty additional genetic diseases.
The cattery operates by appointment only, with no Sunday appointments, and visits require an existing kitten deposit arrangement. It does not offer stud service and reserves the right to decline sales to unsuitable homes.
