CNC Machine Shop – Danco Machine, Inc.
Located in Largo, Danco Machine, Inc. has provided production CNC milling and CNC turning since 2002. The shop runs 10 CNC machines plus support equipment, handling everything from short runs to extended contract runs across a wide variety of materials. It manufactures custom prototypes and end-use production parts from more than 30 engineering-grade plastics and metals, using 3-axis and 4-axis milling processes.
The CNC milling capability is built around eight Fadal machines with various specifications, ranging from 20-inch to 40-inch table sizes, several of which are equipped with 4th-axis functionality. The shop programs with Esprit 2012 and Camworks 2017 CAD/CAM software. CNC turning is performed on two Haas SL 10 machines, with a 1.75-inch bar capacity and 11.0-inch diameter capacity. Additional equipment expands the shop’s range and supports secondary operations and inspection.
That equipment list includes two Bridgeport manual mills, surface and cutter grinders, two Traub automatic screw machines with 1.625-inch and 2.375-inch capacities, two Hardinge production lathes, and a Deltronic optical comparator used for inspection. This combination allows the company to take on both automated production work and manual or precision tasks within a single facility, supporting prototype development through to repeat production quantities.
Danco Machine emphasizes quick response on pricing, quality, lead times, and on-time deliveries, and describes partnering with customers to optimize service. The mix of CNC and conventional equipment, paired with current CAM software, positions the shop for jobs that vary in volume and material.
